Gold Medal Winner

Max has the best 2nd Grade teacher in the whole world! To help the kids learn about the olympics, the class had to do 5 different projects during the 2 week olympics. When they completed the projects they earned a ring (one for each olympic ring). The projects were - Read for 30 minutes everyday for the whole 2 weeks, do pushups, situps and jumping jacks each day for the two weeks, watch an event and write about it, do a service project and write about it, and earn enough good behavior stamps at school. Max loved the olympics and learning all about them. His goal was to win a gold medal by earning all 5 rings. The reading was easy for max, he usually reads more than that anyway. He loved doing the exercise each day before bed. He helped so much washing walls for Aunt Sis. His favorite was watching the Snowboarding halfpipe and Shawn White. He said snowboarding is pretty close to skateboarding!! A couple days before it was over, he told me he was worried that he was only going to get a silver because he didn't have enough stamps at school. Look what he earned... Max proudly wearing his gold medal .

** I actually was at the school to have green eggs and ham with Kaige's class and happened by the medal ceremony by chance, but Kaige would NOT let me take pictures of him eating green eggs and ham because that is just too embarassing!! He is so funny!
