Thanksgiving with a Twist

This year for Thanksgiving, we did something that we have never done... We left town without either of our families.  I was a bit nervous, but it was so fun spending the time with just our little family.  Max's soccer team was invited to play in a tournament in San Diego the weekend after Thanksgiving.  We loaded up the boys and spent a few days in Vegas and then finished the weekend in sunny San Diego.
After one of the games, we made a stop at La Jolla to see all the sea lions.  It was so fun to hear them barking.  They are loud.
Trying to spy the sea Lions.
I am so thankful to be their mom !
Of  course, you cant go to the beach and not play in the water.  It was  a bit chilly for me, but the boys didn't mind.
Having some fun!  It is funny that they play so well together when we are not home, but at home I can't get them to be nice for 10 minutes.
 He is one happy boy!
Loving the sand -- He would live here !
Nothing beats a Thanksgiving Morning swim.

and then the boys chose Denny's for dinner!  It really was quite tasty!

We had a lot to be thankful for this year!

Love San Diego...one of my favorite places. We got engaged on the beach there at La Jolla! Maybe a you Thanksgiving getaway should be a new tradition... that way you don't have to cook!!!
