How we've been spending our Saturdays...

We have been spending our Saturdays watching a lot of Soccer. Not 1 game, not 2 games, but 3 soccer games every Saturday. First Game is at 9:00 and the last game i at 3:00 - makes for a long day of soccer watching and doesn't leave much time to do anything else. I must admit though, I would rather spend the day at soccer instead of a Dance recital!

Max is the one who really enjoys soccer. He passed on Baseball this season so that he could try out for a Competition team. That is in May. He is really having fun.
His biggest assest is that he is so super duper fast. He can usually outrun his team and the kids on the other team. It is funny, his coach tells him to play offense and he doesn't do anything, yet when he puts him in as a defender, he is all over and scoring.

The coach makes them all play goalie at least once. He doesn't really like it. He only got the ball a couple of times this game. His team did a great job of keeping it at the other end.

Kaige likes soccer too, but he has decided he wants to do Flag Football in the fall to get ready for the "real" football in a couple of years.

Kaige is really good at soccer - just like any sport he plays.

Even baby boo gets in on the action. Last fall, he didn't really get it. I think he gets it a little better this spring. He doesn't have to sit on my lap, he sits with his team, and he actually is getting into the game.

It is so good to see Boo is finally learning how to run. He has struggled with this. I think it is just because he is so big for his age and doesn't quite have control of his muscles. This spring, his running has really improved.

I really love to watch my boys play sports. It is so fun and they are so good.
