Pioneer Day

We had a great Pioneer Day! I downloaded the pictures backwards, so you get to see our day from fireworks to the parade.

For Pioneer day, Grandma Kathy decided to take us to the Days of '47 Parade. I didn't remember ever going but my mom said that I have been before. I think that I was more excited than the boys. We were so grateful to Josh's Grandma Torg and Uncle Kerry for going up the night before and saving us all a great and shady spot. The boys and I were so excited, but we were bummed that Josh couldn't come with us because he had to work - healthcare, what can you do about it! That morning, Josh surprised us and had taken the day off work so that he could come. Most of you know how busy Josh has been with the new pharmacy, so this was a great day for our family. We were so excited to go as a family.

This is the great spot that Grandma Torg Saved for us. I love parades! Banks' favorite part were all of the motorcycles. I have to say that the County Sheriffs' did the best tricks.

This was my second favorite part - the amazing and brave soldiers. It brought tears to my eyes to see so many of them. I am so thankful that we have men and women who are courageous enough to do what they do. My first favorite part was seeing President Monson so close. The boys loved that he was wearing a cowboy hat. It is amazing how you can feel the spirit that is with him, even on a really hot crowded street. Of course, I was to busy being amazed to take a picture, but it will be favorite memory!
