All day at Sea World, whenever we would walk past this game, Max would say, " I know I could win that!" Josh and I kept saying maybe later. You had to climb this rope ladder that was tied to a loop at the top. It was really twisty and turny. You had to keep both feet on the top rung while you pressed a button to sound a horn. If you flipped over or didn't keep both feet on, you were disqualified. We watched many grown men, women and kids try it with no success. Well, Josh finally gave in and spent the $9 bucks to let each boy try it. Boo went first, then Kaige, then Max.
This is Boo climbing. Despite his clumsiness, he surprised us all and made it to the very top and then fell off. Josh then started to video so we don't have any pictures of the other boys. I need to learn how to download video from the new camera. Kaige made it about half way and then flipped over.
Well, Max knew what he was talking about... He did win it, and rather quickly too! They took his picture to put on the "Wall of Fame". He was one of only two winners that day. There was a lady there trying to win this big bulldog for her son. After we walked a way, she followed us and tried to buy it from us. I thought that we should have, but Josh said no - I am sure he regrets that now!
Here are the boys. The workers offered to keep it at the game for the rest of the day, but the boys insisted on carrying that thing around Sea World. They loved the attention. After about an hour, the decided to take it to the car - it barely fit in the trunk.
The loved playing with it in the hotel. They even wanted to take it to the pool, but I said no. The next problem was how to get the dumb dog home. We called Delta and it was going to be about $175 to check the thing based on its unusual dimensions. So Josh and Max headed over to the UPS store to see about shipping it. At first it was going to be $195, but the ladies there fell in love with Max and his charming story and they found a way to stuff it in a couple of boxes, used a lot of tape and smashed it down and gave him a discount, so it only cost $95. What a bargain!!
The boys could not wait for the UPS guy to come when we got home. The dumb dog arrived 2 days after us. All three of them are so proud of this dog. It was worth the $ to ship it home!
